Saturday 13 June, 10.30 am, Zoom
As you will be well aware, we are unable to hold our usual AGM/Open Day this year due to Covid-19. Instead we welcome all members, supporters and those interested in the work of CED to join us via a Zoom meeting.
The day is open to members, supporters and anyone who wants to meet us and find out more about CED.
Although things are very different from usual, we do still have a speaker! We are pleased to welcome Richard Lister, Tearfund’s Global Church and Development Lead. His talk on sustainability will be followed by a discussion in breakout groups.
The programme for our meeting is as follows:
- 10.00-10.30am — Log in to Zoom meeting (if you have not used Zoom before, we suggest trying to join by 10.15.)
- 10.30am — Worship
- 10.45am — Chair’s message, strategic plan
- 11.00am — Richard Lister
- 11.30am — AGM
- 12.00pm — Open Forum
- 12.15pm — Closing prayers
We do hope that you will be able to join us – in fact we are hoping that many more than usual, including some overseas members, will be able to take part, and we very much welcome this opportunity.
To get the most out of this event you will need a computer or device with good broadband access with audio and video facilities. We are hoping most people have these.
Please pray especially for people in developing countries at this time, who do not have a comprehensive health service, including the many whom CED members have worked with over the years. If Europe’s care provisions are being overwhelmed one cannot imagine the suffering and devastation among such communities.
